True Star started in Frisco in 2020. Since then we've finished more than 500 outdoor projects across North DFW, from a single patio cover to whole backyards with a pool deck, kitchen and turf.

What drives the price
Every project is priced from its own scope. Two yards the same size can be very different projects.
Size and layout
How much space you're covering, paving or planting, and how many curves, steps and borders it has.
Structures and utilities
A patio cover adds engineering, permits and roofing. Gas, electrical and lighting add trade work, and they're cheaper to run once, up front.
Materials and site

Step 1
We come look
A complimentary Project Fit Consultation, usually at your house. Goals, budget, timing and anything the site will throw at us.
Step 2
Design or estimate
Simple projects go straight to a written estimate. Bigger ones get a design with a 3D view first, with the $1,000 retainer credited to construction.
Step 3
Permits and schedule
We handle city permits and inspections, prepare your HOA packet, and give you the schedule before we start.
Step 4
One accountable team manages the build
Our crews and licensed specialty trades, one point of contact, updates along the way, and a final walkthrough. Constructed work carries a two-year workmanship warranty.

Our commercial team handles HOA common areas, office parks, retail centers and managed properties: recurring maintenance, irrigation and water management, enhancements and improvement projects, with one accountable contact.

- How much does a backyard project cost?
- Every project is priced from its own scope. Size, structures like a patio cover, site work such as drainage and demo, materials, and utilities like gas and electrical drive the number. You get a written, itemized number after the consultation.
- How much does a patio cover cost?
- It comes down to size, how the roof ties into your house, and what goes underneath: ceiling finish, fans, lighting, a TV wall. Every cover is priced from its own design.
- Do you offer financing?
- Yes. We work with HFS Financial, with loans from $3,000 to $450,000 and no home equity required. Checking your options won't affect your credit score. Most homeowners get our written estimate first, then apply for that amount.
- Do you pull permits?
- Yes. We confirm what your city requires and handle the permit applications and inspections. If you have an HOA, we prepare the submittal packet for you. Nobody is ever asked to skip a required permit.
- How long does a project take?
- Most patio covers take one to three weeks of construction once the permit is approved. Paver patios usually take one to three weeks. Full backyard renovations run about two to six weeks. You get the schedule before we start and one point of contact the whole way through.
- Do you use subcontractors?
- Our own team performs and oversees the core work. Licensed specialty trades are brought in when a job needs them, for gas lines and electrical, for example. We stay accountable for the schedule, quality and communication.
- Can I see a design before you start?
- Yes. Bigger projects go through our design process, with layouts, material selections and a 3D view. The $1,000 design retainer is credited toward construction when you build with us. Simple, clearly defined projects can go straight to an estimate.
- Is there a warranty?
- We provide a two-year workmanship warranty on constructed work, and plants are covered for 90 days. The terms are written into your project agreement.

- We're based in Frisco and work across North DFW, including The Colony, Prosper, Plano, McKinney, Allen, Celina, Little Elm, Lewisville, Carrollton and Dallas.
