True Star Outdoor Solutions was founded in 2020 by two people who spent years in the industry watching corners get cut. They decided to build something different.
The Founders
Two People. One Standard.
Cameron spent years running irrigation crews across North Dallas before starting True Star in 2020. He learned the craft from the ground up and came away with a clear picture of what separated work that held up from work that did not. Base prep. Material quality. The details most clients never see until something goes wrong two years later.
Eric came from the residential sales and install side of the industry. Along the way they both learned the same thing: when the person selling the project is also the one designing it, the client gets a better outcome and the crew gets to focus on building it right. So that is how True Star works. Eric leads every client through the design and consultation process from the first call to the final walkthrough. Cameron runs every job in the field. You always know who to call and nothing falls through the cracks between the two.
Cameron's precision in the field and Eric's eye for design have built something neither of them planned on paper but both saw coming. A company that clients trust enough to refer their neighbors, their kids, and their closest friends.
That kind of growth does not come from shortcuts. It comes from doing the work right the first time and letting the results speak for themselves.

Why We Do This
DFW is one of the fastest-growing markets in the country, and with that growth comes a flood of contractors who are more interested in volume than in craft. Homeowners in Frisco, Plano, McKinney, and Allen are investing real money into their outdoor spaces, and too many of them are getting burned by companies that cut corners they will never see until it is too late.
True Star exists to be the alternative. We believe that an outdoor space is not just a backyard. It is where your kids play, where your family gathers, where you decompress after a long week. It deserves to be built with the same care and precision as the house itself. Most of our work is done by our own in-house crews. For specialty trade work like gas lines and electrical rough-in, we partner with vetted tradespeople we have worked with for years. True Star manages the entire project from first consultation through final walkthrough.
